Click the dedication marker to see the 175th dedication ceremony celebration. It was held at the same day and time as the Lodge was formed in 1849. Jacksonville and indeed the nation in 1849 were both still young. Jacksonville had nearly 1,000 residents. Some of the community leaders of the day who were Freemasons came together and formed Solomon Lodge No. 20 F&AM. Nearly 100 years later they acquired the residence of one of Florida’s most prominent families, founders of the Barnett Bank and members of Solomon Lodge, to serve as their iconic meeting place.
